About Us

Klepper’s Key Shop founded in the 1920’s by Charles E. Klepper has become a staple to its growing community. Since it’s inception the shop has found itself growing along with the lock and security industry. With the vast need to provide security and safety to private individuals, residences, commercial establishments and institutional facilities Klepper’s Key Shop expanded to fulfill each need.

Originally located were York City’s William Penn High school now stands Klepper’s Key Shop has relocated to it’s permanent address 117 East King Street in York Pennsylvania. The original building is now being use as a historic site on Pershing Avenue.

When skeleton keys were the keys of choice Mr. Klepper found himself busy all day with his file in hand making duplicates. As the years passed with the development of key cutting machines the current owners John Trone and Mike Dennis, 25 year veterans in the lock industry employee a full staff of technicians who cut many different types of keys day by day.

Today with a fleet of service trucks our humble shop is involved in supplying, installing and servicing everything from deadbolts and door knobs, security systems, access control systems, surveillance systems, automobile locks, commercial locks, door operators and much more.

Along with performing quality workmanship in the technical aspect we are very honored to have, develop and keep long-term relationships with York County and the surrounding areas.
With our commitment to merit our customers with the standards they expect from our reputation. We meet once a week to discuss ways to implement and or change the ways we handle each and every feature of our service. With all of new releases of ALOA, ANSI, BHMA and many other manufactures on hand we discuss how we can use these tools to ensure our customers needs.
